Axar.az reports that the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry shared the message on its X account.

The ministry noted that in 2020, under the leadership of Victorious Supreme Commander-in-Chief and President Ilham Aliyev, the Azerbaijani Army displayed unparalleled heroism during the 44-day Patriotic War and achieved a historic victory, which became a triumph of the nation's will, unity and unwavering determination.

"This remarkable victory marked a major milestone on the historic path towards the restoration of Azerbaijan's territorial integrity and sovereignty.

Victory Day is a symbol of our national solidarity, statehood and confidence in the future. Today, as a victorious state, Azerbaijan resolutely continues its efforts to strengthen lasting peace, stability and cooperation in the region.

On this sacred day, we respectfully honour the cherished memory of our martyrs who laid down their lives for the Motherland and express our gratitude to our veterans and all participants in the war for their sacrifices.

The determination and bravery of our heroes will live on forever in our nation's memory, and the chronicle of our victory will remain a source of pride and inspiration for future generations.
