Simonyan says he begged Russia to stop Karabakh war

"I literally fell at the Russians’ feet and said: ‘After all, we are your brothers, we are your allies. Stop this war.'" Armenian Security Council Secretary Alen Simonyan said.

Axar.az reports that Simonyan made the remarks while speaking about his visit to Russia during the Karabakh war at the Second World Armenian Summit.

Expressing regret over his visit to Russia at the time, Simonyan noted that Moscow had taken no effective steps to stop the war.
