Turkiye’s Presidency of Defence Industries (SSB) says a missile fired from the HISAR A+ Autonomous system successfully hit a jet-powered target.
Axar.az reports, citing Evanter Medya, that according to a 7 November 2026 press release, the missile carries an imaging infrared (IIR) seeker. The firing took place under the HISAR project, coordinated by SSB.
The test coincided with SSB’s 41st anniversary. SSB head Prof. Dr. Haluk Gorgun said: “In our Presidency’s 41st proud year, the autonomous will of our Sky Homeland hit its target with HISAR A+ Autonomous. HISAR A+ Autonomous once again proved its effectiveness in the field with its Imaging Infrared (IIR) seeker missile.”
SSB describes HISAR A+ Autonomous as an original system that places all components needed for air defence on a single vehicle. Gorgun said it was developed with contributions from more than 200 domestic firms and strengthens air defence capability by bringing all components together on one vehicle.
The release names no companies; it only mentions contributions from more than 200 domestic firms. The HISAR family itself is developed by ASELSAN and Roketsan: within the family, ASELSAN handles the radar and command-and-control side and Roketsan the missile side. The SSB statement does not say which company built which component of HISAR A+ Autonomous.
