US forces disable cargo ship in Gulf of Oman

The United States forces have disabled a St. Kitts-flagged cargo vessel in the Gulf of Oman after it attempted to violate the US naval blockade against Iran.

Axar.az reports, citing US Central Command (CENTCOM), that the M/V Huda ignored repeated warnings and attempted to leave regional waters after visiting an Iranian port.

A US military aircraft fired precision munitions at the ship's stern, disabling it after the crew was instructed to abandon the targeted areas.

According to CENTCOM, US forces have redirected 147 commercial vessels and disabled five others for refusing to comply with the blockade since July.
