Iran claims two oil tankers struck mines in Hormuz

Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Navy has claimed that two oil tankers caught fire after striking mines in the Strait of Hormuz.

Axar.az reports, citing the IRGC Navy, that the vessels were attempting to cross the strait through an unauthorized route with their navigation and positioning systems switched off.

The IRGC Navy warned that vessels cooperating with the US military and violating Iran's regulations for the strait could face similar incidents.
