Lithuania to Lukashenko: We don't want to scare you

In Lithuania, NATO troops and equipment are deployed to protect people from possible attacks.

Axar.az reports this was stated by Lithuanian President Gitanas Nauseda in his response to Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko. He said Lithuania was thus providing security for the welfare of its people.

Nauseda said it was Lithuania's sole target and that Vilnius did not want to scare Belarus.

Lukashenko said the deployment of the US military contingent on the Belarusian border was a demonstration of power and said he would respond.
