We welcome the statements of Armenia and Azerbaijan that they have agreed on the 1991 Alma-Ata declaration as the basis for the delimitation of the border between the two countries.
Axar.az reports that US Secretary of State Antony Blinken wrote about this on his X account.
"This is an important step towards concluding a lasting and dignified peace agreement," Blinken said.
It should be noted that on April 19, the eighth meeting of the State Commission on Delimitation of the State Border between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Armenia and the Commission on Delimitation of the State Border and Border Security between the Republic of Armenia and the Republic of Azerbaijan was held on the border between Azerbaijan and Armenia. During the meeting, an agreement was reached on the return of 4 villages of Gazakh occupied by Armenia to Azerbaijan.
