The US is concerned that the Georgian parliament's adoption of the draft law "On Foreign Agents" could undermine democratic foundations in this country.

Axar.az reports that John Kirby, the coordinator of strategic communications of the White House's National Security Council, said this at his next briefing for journalists.

"We are deeply concerned about this bill's potential damage to dissent, freedom of speech, and the democratic principles and democracy that Georgia is so rightfully proud of," Kirby said.
