Consultations were held between Baku and Bucharest

On July 16, 2024, the next round of political consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Romania was held in Bucharest.

Axar.az reports that the delegation of the Republic of Azerbaijan was headed by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Fariz Rzayev, and the Romanian delegation was headed by State Secretary Ana Kristina Tinka.

During the political consultations, discussions were held regarding the strengthening of the strategic partnership between Azerbaijan and Romania, the current state and development prospects of cooperation in the political, economic, energy, transport and humanitarian fields, as well as within the framework of international organizations, strategic energy and transport projects implemented with the initiative and participation of our country. .

In the meeting, the situation in the region in the post-conflict period, the normalization of Armenian-Azerbaijani relations, the steps taken by Azerbaijan in the direction of establishing lasting peace in the region, the problem of landmines in our liberated territories, and the large-scale restoration and construction works carried out there were given detailed information.

During the visit, F. Rzayev also met with other Romanian officials, as well as spoke at an event held with representatives of think tanks.
