Azerbaijan consul in Tabriz dies in road accident

Azerbaijan’s consul in the city of Tabriz has died in a car accident.

Axar.az reports that this was announced on the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry’s X account.

“We are deeply saddened by the news of the death of our respected diplomatic colleague Ramil Imranov, who served as a consul at the Consulate General of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Tabriz, Islamic Republic of Iran. He lost his life in a traffic accident on the Julfa–Tabriz highway near the town of Marand while carrying out his official duties.

On this difficult day, we extend our deepest condolences to his family, loved ones, and colleagues and wish them strength,” the statement said.
