First hearing set in Heydar Aliyev bust case -

The first court hearing in the case of an Armenian citizen identified as I.A., who is accused of damaging the bust of National Leader of Azerbaijan Heydar Aliyev in Tbilisi, has been scheduled for November 12.

Axar.az reports that the detainee’s lawyer, Teona Peradze, said this.

It should be noted that 40-year-old I.A. has been held at Penitentiary Institution No. 8 since late September. He has been charged under Article 187 of Georgia’s Criminal Code, which provides liability for damaging property. He faces up to five years in prison.
