N. Mahmudov also revealed that the service has prepared a fire risk index for fire-prone areas across the country and identified the high-risk regions:
"The fire index indicates a high risk in Ganja, Tovuz, Shamkir, and Tartar in the Ganja-Gazakh region; very high risk in Agstafa, Naftalan, and Aghdam; high risk in Sheki in the Balakan-Sheki region; high risk in Guba and Gusar in the Guba-Khachmaz region, with a very high risk in Shabran; very high risk in Ismayilli and Gobustan in the Mountainous Shirvan region; high risk in Lankaran, Yardimli, and Astara in the Lankaran-Astara region; and very high risk in Ordubad, Nakhchivan, Sharur, Shahbuz, and Julfa in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic."
The head of the service urged citizens to adhere to fire safety rules, especially in forested and grassy areas, and to exercise caution with fire when conducting agricultural activities or during leisure activities in nature.
