Ukrainian Energy Minister German Galushenko said that he discussed the possibilities of natural gas supplies with his Azerbaijani counterpart, Parviz Shahbazov.

According to Galushenko, Azerbaijan is one of the main suppliers of energy resources to Europe, and therefore, the parties raised the issue of cooperation in the energy sector.

“Ukraine sees great potential for expanding cooperation in the fields of production, storage, and transportation of natural gas,” the Ukrainian Energy Minister emphasized.

He noted that the issue of Azerbaijani gas supplies to Ukraine was considered within the framework of Europe's strategy for diversifying energy supplies.
