Sumgayit FK fined 10,000 manats after disciplinary ruling

The AFFA Disciplinary Committee has fined Sumgayit FK a total of 10,000 manats following incidents involving the club’s president and head coach.

Axar.az reports, citing the official AFFA website, that the sanctions were imposed after the Misli Premier League Round XXX match against Kapaz PFK on May 2, 2026.

Following the match, Sumgayit head coach Sasha Ilic was shown a straight red card for protesting a referee’s decision and has been handed a two-match suspension, while the club was fined 5,000 manats (Article 51.1).

In a separate case, club president Riad Rafiyev entered the referees’ dressing room after the game and has been suspended for five matches, with two of those suspended conditionally. The club was also fined an additional 5,000 manats (Articles 87.1 and 19).
