Presidential incidents revisited at Washington Hilton

The “Washington Hilton” hotel, where the event attended by U.S. President Donald Trump was held, was also the scene of an assassination attempt on former President Ronald Reagan.

Axar.az reports, citing Reuters, Reagan was shot and wounded by a would-be assassin outside the hotel in 1981.

It should be noted that during the White House Correspondents’ Dinner in Washington, gunfire was heard, after which President Trump, First Lady Melania Trump, Vice President J.D. Vance, and the White House Press Secretary were immediately evacuated.

The attacker has been identified as 31-year-old Cole Allen.
