Trump wraps up warm China trip

US President Donald Trump and Chinese leader Xi Jinping have concluded a historic summit.

Axar.az reports, citing CNN, Air Force One took off from Beijing Capital International Airport on Friday afternoon local time after a departure ceremony on the tarmac.

Trump said a “lot of different problems” were settled but substantive agreements have yet to be announced on key issues that impact their rivalries.

Trump said he and Xi discussed Iran and agreed Tehran should not have a nuclear weapon. He also said the US doesn’t need the Strait of Hormuz opened at all – or as much as China does.

The US policy is “unchanged,” Secretary of State Marco Rubio said after Xi warned Trump on Taiwan. Xi said Taiwan was “the most important issue in China-US relations” and it could create a “highly dangerous situation” if mishandled.
