Raids hit Armenian opposition offices

Searches were conducted this morning in Gyumri at the offices of Samvel Karapetyan’s “Strong Armenia” opposition bloc.

Axar.az reports, citing Armenian media, that investigative actions were also carried out at the home of human rights defender Karapet Poghosyan.

No official statement has yet been issued regarding the developments.

In addition, reports said representatives of Robert Kocharyan’s “Armenia” bloc headquarters were detained.

It should be noted that Parliamentary elections are currently being held in Armenia.
