Sedrak Kocharyan remanded in custody for two months

Sedrak Kocharyan, son of former Armenian President Robert Kocharyan, has been remanded in custody for two months.

Axar.az reports, citing Armenian media, that his lawyer, Alexandr Kochubayev, made the announcement to reporters outside the court.

“His visitation rights have also been restricted, except for his wife and children. We are dealing with extrajudicial persecution with a political context,” the lawyer said.

It should be noted that Kocharyan and his son were detained during a law enforcement operation the previous day.
