Modern Russian satellite system will spy in favor of Iran

An upgraded and modern Konopus satellite system developed by Russian space engineers will spy on Iran. The new spy satellite has precision cameras with very high resolution. The satellite has already been delivered to Iran and according to Russian sources, its launch is expected in 2021.

Axar.az reports citing foreign media that the project involves Iranian and Russian companies that signed an agreement to build a spy satellite for space surveillance as far back as 2014. However, the new satellite system worries the West, the United States, and American allies in the Middle East.

According to journalists from The Washington Post, the new satellite system will significantly improve, even increase Iran’s ability to observe from space, which is worrying. Military bases in Israel, various military installations in Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates will be on display in Tehran.
