Israeli Foreign Minister Yair Lapid has met with US House Speaker Nancy Pelosi.

Axar.az reports that during the meeting, Pelosi said he had bipartisan support for Israel, calling it a source of pride for Congress.

"It is a great honour for me to speak about the importance of our mutual security, the importance of American-Israeli relations based on our mutual values. Support for Israel has always been bipartisan. This is in the blood of many of us."

Lapid called Pelosi a great friend of Israel. The minister said he hoped they would unite around the idea that Iran would never be a nuclear country.
