John Kirby, the White House's National Security Council strategic communications coordinator, will take a new position and be promoted to the position of Assistant to the President of the United States.

Axar.az informs that "The Associated Press" reported on this, citing sources in the US administration.

"Kirby will be appointed White House national security communications adviser and will oversee the exchange of information between various American departments. They will operate separately from NSS. Additionally, Kirby will be promoted from Deputy Assistant to Assistant to the President of the United States. Despite the new role, Kirby will continue to speak at regular briefings for reporters at the White House," the statement said.
