Iran kills 4 extremists after deadly attacks in Southeast

Iranian armed forces killed four extremists on Tuesday following a deadly attack on a police station in the restive southeast, bringing the death toll to eight.

Axar.az reports that , citing IRNA, the attack, carried out by militants from the Pakistan-based Jaish al-Adl group, took place on October 26 in Taftan county, Sistan-Baluchistan province, and resulted in the deaths of 10 police officers—one of the deadliest assaults in the region in recent months.

In an update on the situation, Ahmad Shafahi, a commander with the Revolutionary Guards, told that “A total of eight terrorists have been killed” during operations in the province.

He also reported the arrest of 14 other terrorists, including key figures involved in the Taftan attack, and the seizure of significant amounts of weapons and ammunition.
