Four teens detained in Yekaterinburg over terror plot

Four teenagers planning to carry out an explosion in a crowded area in Yekaterinburg, Russia, have been detained.

Axar.az reports that this information was released by the Public Relations Center of the Russian Federal Security Service (FSB).

It was stated that two of them were previously found to have been involved in setting a police car on fire.

"The FSB has detained four Russian citizens, born in 2007 and 2008, who share the ideas of a terrorist organization and were planning to commit a terrorist act using an explosive device in crowded areas in Yekaterinburg," the center said.

Components of an explosive device, as well as communication tools containing instructions for its assembly, were seized from them.

The collection of evidence related to their criminal activities is ongoing.
