Russian President Vladimir Putin has allocated 1 million rubles to each village in South Ossetia on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the Victory.

Axar.az reports that this was stated by the head of the Russian Presidential Administration, Sergey Kiriyenko.

According to him, 1 million rubles have been allocated from the Russian President's reserve fund to each village and school in South Ossetia.

It should be noted that Russia occupied the Georgian regions of South Ossetia and Abkhazia and recognized their independence in 2008.
