Lebanon and the region are going through a critical period, and this requires the development of a comprehensive plan for the future.

Axar.az reports that this was stated by the US President's special envoy to Lebanon, Tom Barak.

Barak noted that the US side does not dictate to Lebanon what to do regarding Hezbollah. Lebanon itself, not the US, should deal with Hezbollah.

"Lebanon's problem is not Iran, but the inability of the Lebanese to reach an agreement among themselves. The country's response to the document proposed by the US was quite responsible. Lebanon has an opportunity thanks to Trump. Israel does not want war with Lebanon and does not intend to control it," T. Barak noted.
