Russia strikes Khmelnytskyi Nuclear Power Plant

The Russian military has struck a substation serving Ukraine’s Khmelnytskyi Nuclear Power Plant with three drones.

Axar.az reports that Ukrainian Deputy Prime Minister and Energy Minister Denys Shmyhal announced the attack on his Telegram channel.

“Such actions pose a threat not only to Ukraine but also to nuclear safety across Europe. This is a serious step towards escalating tensions. We have informed the IAEA about the incident,” Shmyhal said.

He added that he had met with ambassadors from G7 countries and the European Union to brief them on the consequences of the massive attack against Ukraine.
