Ukraine’s Air Force has lost an F-16 fighter jet.

Axar.az informs the Ukrainian Armed Forces reported the incident on their Telegram channel.

“On May 16, 2025, at around 3:30 a.m., contact was lost with an F-16 fighter jet. While on a mission to repel an air attack, the aircraft encountered an unexpected issue. The pilot was able to divert the jet away from populated areas and successfully ejected,” the statement said.

This marks the second F-16 Ukraine has lost. On April 12, another Ukrainian F-16 was shot down, and the pilot was killed.
