Azerbaijan may bring Nasimi's grave in Syria to country

The grave of the great poet and thinker Imadaddin Nasimi in Syria may be brought to Azerbaijan.

Axar.az informs, citing APА, according to the information the Azerbaijani state is interested in relocating Nasimi's grave to the country.

Thus, initial contacts have already been made with the Syrian side in this direction, and Syria has been informed about this.

It should be noted that the grave of Imadaddin Nasimi is in the city of Aleppo, the Syrian Arab Republic. Nasimi's grave has also been destroyed in the city, where military conflict has been ongoing for several years.

It should be noted that Nasimi's grave was cleaned during the time when the Great Leader Heydar Aliyev, while he was still the First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Azerbaijan, was on a visit to the Syrian Arab Republic in 1970.

Later, Heydar Aliyev visited the grave.

In 2019, the 650th anniversary of Imadaddin Nasimi was widely celebrated at the state level in the Republic of Azerbaijan.
