The first stage of the “Silk Way Star” competition has concluded in Kazakhstan.

Axar.az reports, citing APА, in the first stage, each of the 12 participants performed the song in their native language.

It is reported that the peculiarity of the start stage is that no participant left the project, meaning all participants will continue to compete for victory.

By decision of the jury, the first place was awarded to Malaysian singer Yazmin Aziz with 126 points, the second place to Uzbek singer Madinabonu Adilova with 122 points, and the third and fourth places went respectively to Dovran Shammiyev from Turkmenistan and Georgian participant Avtandil Abeslamidze with 120 points.

The “Silk Way Star” international competition includes 10 episodes, each lasting more than 100 minutes. The broadcast is conducted in three languages – Kazakh, Chinese, and English. The organizers promise the audience exclusive musical performances in various genres.

The final Grand Show will take place on November 22.

There was also a memorable moment during the competition. Specifically, the jurors from Azerbaijan and Armenia mutually awarded the highest score of 10 points to performers representing both countries. First, the Azerbaijani juror gave 10 points to Armenian performer Saro Gevorgyan, and in response, the Armenian juror awarded 10 points to Sabina Guluzade, who represents Azerbaijan in the competition.

Note that this is the first time that representatives of Azerbaijan and Armenia have given each other the highest score in an international competition.
