Azerbaijani Honoured Artist Jabir Imanov has passed away at the age of 49.

Axar.az reports that the actor suffered a heart attack while at the gym.

Jabir Imanov was a member of the “Parni iz Baku” KVN team from 1992 to 2001. In 2015, he was awarded the honorary title of Honoured Artist of Azerbaijan, and in 2021 he received the “Taraggi” (Progress) medal.

He is survived by his wife and four children.

Jabir Imanov was the son of Gorkhmaz Imanov, a corresponding member of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences and doctor of economics; the grandson of People’s Artist and composer Suleyman Alasgarov; and the brother of Honoured Artist Tahir Imanov.
