Nobel Laureate Physicist Yang Zhenning dies at 103

World-renowned physicist, Nobel Prize laureate in physics, academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, professor of Tsinghua University, Yang Zhenning died today in Beijing at the age of 103.

Recall that Y. Zhenning laid the foundations of the modern theory of gauge fields, and also put forward the hypothesis of the weak interaction. He was awarded the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1957 together with Li Zhengdao.
