Zemfira refuses to perform in Armenia over arrest fears

Singer Zemfira (full name — Zemfira Ramazanova) has refused to give concerts in Armenia, citing fear of arrest.

Axar.az informs this was reported by the Telegram channel Mash.

According to the source, the artist was invited to perform in the country following the viral success of a video showing Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan listening to one of her songs and appearing emotional. It is noted that Zemfira was offered 20 million rubles for the concert, with the possibility of a higher payment.

Despite this, the singer turned down the offer, reportedly fearing that “she could be arrested in a country friendly to Russia.” The channel added, “She has publicly criticized the Russian army too many times and supported Ukraine.”

It should be noted that Zemfira has been designated a “foreign agent” by the Russian Ministry of Justice.
