Renowned playwright Tom Stoppard dies at 88

Famous playwright and director Tom Stoppard has died at the age of 88.

Axar.az reports that the artist died at his home in Britain.

The cause of death has not yet been announced.

It should be noted that Tom Stoppard is the author of such classic works as "Arcadia", "The Real Thing", "The Shores of Utopia", and "Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead".

He also wrote the screenplay for the film "Shakespeare in Love" and was awarded the Oscar for this work.

In 1997, Stoppard was officially awarded the title of "knight" in the United Kingdom.
