Poet Qurban Həmidoğlu, a member of the Azerbaijan Writers’ Union and the Aghstafa District Council of Elders, has passed away at the age of 78.
Axar.az reports that his relatives informed Yeni Sabah of the news.
The late poet was buried in the Aghstafa district.
It should be noted that Qurban Həmid oglu Nəbiyev was born on October 30, 1947, in Muğanlı village of the Aghstafa district, into a family of teachers. By profession, an engineer, he was married and is survived by two daughters and one son.
He was the author of five books, including Why Shouldn’t a Poet Grow Old, A Poet’s Heart Is Fragile, Poetry Is My Life, with his most recent two-volume work published in 2021.
