Michael Patrick, an actor known for his role in the TV series Game of Thrones, has died at the age of 35.

Axar.az reports that the news was announced by his wife, Naomi Sheehan.

The actor passed away on April 7 at a hospice in Northern Ireland.

It should be noted that he was diagnosed with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) three years ago. Despite his illness, he continued performing.

Michael Patrick won a The Stage Awards prize for his portrayal of Richard III at the Belfast Theatre. He also appeared in the sixth season of Game of Thrones, as well as in the series Krypton and Blue Lights.

In February, he declined a tracheostomy operation, choosing instead to spend the remainder of his life outside a hospital setting.
