Turkish singer Rza Tamer has passed away

Singer Riza Tamer, who rose to fame after taking part in the early 2000s Turkish music competition “Popstar”, has died.

Axar.az reports, citing Hurriyet, that the singer suffered from respiratory failure and was taken to hospital by ambulance. Doctors determined that his brain was not receiving enough oxygen, and despite medical intervention, he passed away.

“I received the news of his death 10 minutes ago. I am in shock,” the singer’s manager said.
