An Azerbaijani song was performed during the ninth season of the children’s vocal competition “Ranina,” broadcast on Georgia’s First Channel.

Axar.az reports that, during the third stage of the contest, 10-year-old participant Zurab Naskidashvili performed “Shen Azerbaijan,” a song from the repertoire of Azerbaijan’s People’s Artist Polad Bulbuloglu.

The audience warmly received the performance in Azerbaijani. All members of the jury awarded the contestant the maximum score of 10 across all evaluation criteria.

The “Ranina” competition features participants aged between 8 and 14. At different stages of the contest, participants are required to perform popular songs from various countries. The winner earns the right to represent Georgia at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest.

Notably, “Shen Azerbaijan” is the second song by Polad Bulbuloglu performed in the history of the “Ranina” competition. In the fifth season, participant Oto Bazerasvili performed another of his works, “Aman, Aman Ayriliq.”

In subsequent seasons, other Azerbaijani songs, including the folk song “Lachin” and “Tez Gel” (“Yar Gelir Goruse”), have also been performed.
