A contestant on the reality show Survivor, Stavros Floros, has had his leg amputated following a serious accident.

Axar.az informs that the incident occurred in the Dominican Republic, where the show is being filmed, while the contestant was spearfishing.

According to reports, Floros was struck by a tourist boat while in the sea and sustained severe injuries. As a result, one of his legs was amputated, while the ankle of the other leg was also seriously damaged.

It is reported that he is currently not in life-threatening condition.

His father said the contestant lost a significant amount of blood and called his survival a miracle, denying claims of safety violations.

Filming of the show has been suspended, and an investigation into the incident is underway.
