Turkish singer Haluk Levent has been arrested as part of an investigation involving the "Ahbap" charity, which he founded.
Axar.az reports, citing Turkish media, that 14 people, including lawyer Ece Guner, who was detained alongside Levent, were remanded in custody by a court.
Levent, founder of the "Ahbap" association, came into the public spotlight following the February 6 earthquakes for the organization's relief efforts and fundraising campaigns. Authorities have since raised various allegations regarding the use of donations, certain financial transfers, and other transactions linked to the charity.
He faces charges of violating the law on associations, money laundering, and membership in a criminal organization.
