Ian Peart, champion of Azerbaijani culture, passes Away

Ian Peart, who made invaluable contributions to promoting Azerbaijani culture, has passed away.

Axar.az reports that the news was announced by Shahbaz Khuduoglu, the head of Qanun Publishing House.

"For nearly 30 years, Ian dedicated his life to introducing Azerbaijani culture to the world. The books he translated, the articles he wrote, and the work he carried out were all expressions of his deep love for this country.

I extend my heartfelt condolences to his daughter Narmina, his son-in-law Omar, his close friend Shona, and everyone who knew and loved Ian.

May he rest in peace. His memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew him and through his lasting contributions to Azerbaijani culture," Khuduoglu said.
