Bulgaria's Burgas to host Eurovision Song Contest 2027

Bulgaria's Black Sea city of Burgas has been selected to host the Eurovision Song Contest 2027.

Axar.az informs, citing Repоrt, that the 71st edition of the contest will be held at Arena Burgas, with the semi-finals scheduled for May 11 and 13 and the Grand Final for May 15, 2027.

Burgas was chosen over the capital, Sofia, after an assessment of the city's venue capacity, accommodation, infrastructure and overall vision for hosting the event.

Martin Green, Director of the Eurovision Song Contest at the EBU, said Burgas is a vibrant and welcoming Black Sea city with the ambition and infrastructure needed to welcome the Eurovision family.

Bulgaria earned the right to host the contest after DARA won Eurovision 2026 in Vienna with the song "Bangaranga," securing the country's first-ever victory in the competition.

Arena Burgas is expected to welcome thousands of fans from around the world, while millions more will watch the live shows.
