Nicolas Altmayer, Mathilde Favier died in car accident

French film producer Nicolas Altmayer and Dior executive Mathilde Favier died in a car accident in western France on Tuesday.

Axar.az reports, citing Le Monde, that the couple was killed at around 4 pm on Monday on a road in the northern part of the Deux-Sevres department.

Their vehicle "collided with a truck coming from the opposite direction while they were overtaking another vehicle," said Niort deputy prosecutor Nicolas Leclainche, who opened an investigation for vehicular manslaughter to determine the exact circumstances of the incident.

It should be noted that 57-year-old Mathilde Favier was the director of public relations at Dior. Nicolas Altmayer, 61, was a film producer and headed Mandarin & Compagnie together with his brother, Eric Altmayer.
