18th Uzeyir Hajibayli International Music Festival kicks off

The 18th Uzeyir Hajibayli International Music Festival, dedicated to Azerbaijani genius composer and founder of professional Azerbaijani music Uzeyir Hajibayli, kicks off in Azerbaijan on September 18.

Axar.az reports that co-organized by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Culture, the festival will run until September 30.

Bringing together renowned musicians and bands, the festival’s concert program will be held in various cities across Azerbaijan, including Baku, Aghjabadi, Ganja, Shusha, Lachin, Aghdam and Lankaran, and will also feature presentations, performances and exhibitions.

A wide range of events will additionally be held in Uzbekistan, Germany and Turkiye as part of the festival.

This year’s edition will also feature the inaugural Congress of Composers of the Turkic World.
