UNESCO pointed Azerbaijan's outstanding contribution

Irina Bokova, Director-General of UNESCO met with Abulfas Garayev Azerbaijani Minister of Culture and Tourism in Paris.

Irina Bokova stressed the essense of the recent high-level gathering of the Baku Process working group, and expressed the UNESCO`s interest in implementing projects with Azerbaijan in different areas.

They exchanged views on the ways of expanding cooperation in the fields of culture and heritage, Baku Process initiative of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, and the 4th World Forum on Intercultural Dialogue to be held next year.

Minister Qarayev stressed the important role of Azerbaijani first lady, UNESCO and ISESCO goodwill ambassador Mehriban Aliyeva in developing relations between Azerbaijan and UNESCO.

Irina Bokova also emphasized Azerbaijan's outstanding contribution and Mehriban Aliyeva to UNESCO's activities, as well as to the protection of cultural heritage in her own country and in many other member countries.
