The Embassy of Uzbekistan in Azerbaijan has organized an official reception to mark the Independence Day of the country.

Axar.az informs, Prime Minister of the Republic of Azerbaijan Novruz Mammadov attended the event.

The national anthems of the two countries were played.

Addressing the reception, ambassador Sherzod Fayziev highlighted the history of the Independence Day.

On behalf of the Azerbaijani President and Government, Prime Minister Novruz Mammadov congratulated the people of Uzbekistan on the national holiday. Novruz Mammadov expressed confidence that relations between the two countries will continue to strengthen.
