Baku hosts Simurgh Children's Music Festival

Project of Simurgh Children’s Music Festival is being held in Baku with the support of the Baku Media Center.

Axar.az informs citing the center that the main goal of the festival is to promote and support young and talented musicians of Azerbaijan, as well as to teach them professional knowledge and skills in performing arts.

The author and head of the project is a well-known pianist, laureate of prestigious international competitions, Saida Taghizade.

The festival is expected to cover all musical instruments in the future. However, for present, only pianists at the age 7 -18 participate in the project.

10 participants have been selected at the current stage of the festival. Within the framework of the project participants will attend the master classes of prominent educators from Azerbaijan, Russia and other countries. Moreover, young performers will be taught proper and professional behavior on the stage.
