The film company Warner Brothers posted a list of 16 nominations on its website under the heading "at your discretion", which would be possible to nominate for various film awards the film Joker by American Director Todd Phillips.

Axar.az reports citing TASS that the company did not specify whether it was The Academy award or the Golden Globe Award, presented by Hollywood Foreign Press Association.

The film, telling the story of Joker, the main enemy of the superhero Batman and collected more than 853 million dollars at the world box office, is offered for nomination in the categories "Best film", "Best Director" (Todd Phillips), "Best adapted screenplay" (Todd Phillips and Scott silver), "Best actor of the first plan" (Joaquin Phoenix), "Best supporting actor" (Robert De Niro), "Best supporting actress" (Zazie Beetz and Frances Conroy) and in a number of others nominations.

The 92nd Academy Awards ceremony for merit in cinema for 2019 in 24 categories will be held on Sunday 9 February 2020 in Los Angeles.
