At the expanded scientific council of the Institute of History of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS), a meeting was held with the chairman of the Association of Historical Nations and Societies in Turkey, Turkish businessman Ahmed Baba.

Axar.az reports that the event was opened by the director of the institute, academician Yagub Mahmudov, who recalled the words of national leader Heydar Aliyev "One nation, two states" and spoke about the Azerbaijan-Turkey fraternity.

“Friendship and brotherhood are the basic principles of Azerbaijani-Turkish relations. Azerbaijan is the homeland of Turkish. The first republic of the Turkic world was created in Azerbaijan, ”the academician said.
