France has started stealing cultural monuments in Syria

French archaeologists have been excavating in Syria since early 2020.

Axar.az reports this information was released by Anadolu Agency.

Archaeological excavations are being carried out under the guise of a secret vulture, as well as the protection of the Kurds. The agency said there were about 200 French troops in the area.

"Excavations are being carried out near the city of Deir Ez-Zor. It is in this area that the ruins of the ancient Assyrian city of Dur Katlimmu are located. The monuments are being transported to a US base," the statement said.
