With the support of the State Committee for Work with the Diaspora and the initiative of the "Azerbaijani Society in Barcelona", the opening ceremony of the House of Azerbaijan was held in Barcelona, Spain.
Axar.az informs that, the event, held in accordance with the existing quarantine rules in connection with the pandemic, was attended by Azerbaijanis living in Catalonia and members of the community of different nations who have friendly relations with our country.
The ceremony began with a screening of videos reflecting the 5-year activity of the Society of Azerbaijanis in Barcelona and the process of building the House of Azerbaijan, with the chairman of the State Committee for Work with the Diaspora Fuad Muradov congratulating the Azerbaijanis of Spain on this important event.
The event was addressed by the chairman of the Society of Azerbaijanis in Barcelona and head of the Spanish House of Azerbaijan Karim Karimov, member of the board of the society Narmin Salayeva, Consul General of Georgia in Barcelona Ketevan Gogolashvili. The speakers praised the activities of the House of Azerbaijan in terms of bringing together Azerbaijanis living in Barcelona and Spain in general, connecting them, promoting our national values and historical realities. It was stressed that the House of Azerbaijan will have a special place in the multicultural image of the city of Barcelona, where joint events of the Azerbaijani and Georgian communities are held.
The House of Azerbaijan provided detailed information on 7 new and different projects to be implemented on a monthly basis.
It should be noted that with the support of the State Committee for Work with the Diaspora, Azerbaijani houses operate in Germany, Italy, Poland, Hungary, Turkey, Estonia and other countries.
